AG Gansler Launches Public Education Campaign on Internet Privacy with Facebook

Attorney General Gansler announced a public education campaign in cooperation with Facebook to help teens, parents and all digital consumers manage their online privacy and personal safety. The announcement was made as Attorney General Gansler convened the second day of the NAAG Presidential Initiative Summit, a gathering of attorneys general from across the nation to examine multiple issues that fall within the 2013 NAAG Presidential Initiative, Privacy in the Digital Age.

AG Gansler Discusses Guns, Domestic Violence Legislation, Internet Privacy on WBAL

He talked about a recent federal court ruling upholding Maryland's law requiring a "good and substantial reason" to carry a firearm; the gun safety legislation currently being considered in Annapolis; a domestic violence bill that creates an enhanced sentencing penalty for committing domestic violence in the presence of a child, which is the Attorney General's top legislative priority; his Internet privacy initiative as president of the National Association of Attorneys General; an update on the National Mortgage Settlement and the start of the fifth year of the Charm City Youth Lacrosse league.
